Booth McGowan is a Minnesotan based in Brooklyn. He founded Quick & Dirty Theatre Company, with whom he produced 17 theatrical events in Red Hook between 2023-’25, including six of his own plays, the world premiere of "Las Cruces" by Lee Blessing, and the sold-out three week world-premiere of "Picture Day" by Levon Thurman-Hawke. McGowan’s debut feature film “Boys at Twenty” (dir. Isaac Dell) won the audience award for “Best Feature Film” at the Twin Cities Film Festival and was spotlighted by Film Independent in their 2024 “Festival Visions” program.
Recently, he played Doctor Lvov in Chekhov’s Ivanov, adapted and directed by Laura Strausfeld at Royal Family Productions, assistant stage managed "Narcissister: Voyage Into Infinity" at NYU Skirball, and stage managed and performed with Yoshiko Chuma's "School of Hard Knocks."
